- Cotton pad or blotting paper
How to Apply False Lashes for Beginners
1. Remove excess oil from your eyelid
Get a cotton pad or blotting paper and dab it on your eyelid in order to remove excess oil. The excess oil on your eyelid can make it more difficult for the lashes to stick to your eyelid.
2. Measure your lashes and trim excess
Take your false eyelashes and place them just above your natural eyelashes. If your false lashes are a little longer than your natural eyelash line, simply take a small pair of scissors and trim the excess. Your false lashes should start and finish where most of natural eyelashes.
3. Apply false lash glue along the lash band
Apply a thin amount of glue along the lash band from corner to corner. Apply a little more false lash glue towards the ends of the lash band because that’s where false lashes usually unstick.
4. Wait for the glue to become tacky
Once both false lashes have glue on the lash band, wait 30-50 seconds for the glue to dry and become tacky. This will help the lashes stick to your eyelid better.
5. Apply false lashes
Using your false eyelash applicator, look down and place the false lash along your natural eyelashes. Ensure that the false lashes start and finish where your natural lashes are. Press down in the middle of the false lash band, the outer edge and inner corner. Repeat this step until the false lashes are fastened to your eye.
